To create it, you will basically need the following: large sheets of tissue paper; a ruler; a pair of scissors; floral wires; cutter pliers; and translucent fishing wires or colorful ribbons. Using your crafting and artistic skills, fold the tissue(8-10 pieces per pom pom) by 1 inch to 1.5 inch wide using your ruler continue to fold it in an accordion like manner until you reach the end of the paper. Once you are finished with the folding, measure the midpoint and using a floral wire, tie it up on that point. Using the scissor cut the tips of each fold on both ends. With your imagination; you can make it as rounded or as pointed as you want, but ensure to make it as uniform as possible for each individual fold and for both ends. After cutting the ends of the paper, carefully pull each individual fold apart to form a petal like structure. Remember that you have to give it extra care, since tissue paper is very delicate and can easily be torn.
